August Newsletter for St. James Knights of Columbus

Grand Knight Report:

First and foremost I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend the services for Al Sanchez.  We had a great turnout of knights, I think Al would have been proud.

Secondly, thank you to the knights who assisted with the Parish Feast Day as well as our Fifth Sunday breakfast!  On both of these events we had plenty of help which was Great!  Hopefully this will continue.

Upcoming Events:

n      Donut Sunday is on Aug. 6

n      Eucharistic Adoration happens every Thursday in the parish.

n      Regular meeting at 7pm on Aug. 13th in the social hall, we would love to see some of our new knights so we can get to know each other.

For anything else I may have forgotten please check your calendar on the webpage at: www.stjames-liberty.org/kofc/

Our St. James Knights of Columbus Relay for Life team raised over four thousand dollars, which I believe put us in first place!  Great Job by all those who assisted and donated to such a worthy cause.  This money will be well spent.

Finally, please continue to pray for one another and our families.  If you haven’t volunteered for an event in a while, if you have the time please consider helping with one of our events.  Remember what we learned in our First Degree…CHARITY!!  God Bless you and yours and those put in harm’s way for you and me.
