November Newsletter for St. James Knights of Columbus

 

Grand Knight Report:

     Thanks to everybody who volunteered their time and effort towards the M.R. Drive.  I haven’t  received the final numbers on it but when I do I’ll let you know.   Also thanks to all the Knights who took part in the Rosary Rally and the Fifth Sunday Breakfast. 

     Something very important is happening on the first Tuesday of November.  Amendment 2 will be voted on and we as Knights must get the word out to turn this amendment down.  I have about 2000 handouts that need to be distributed in the Liberty area.  For those of you that have emailed me saying you would like to help we will distribute these the first weekend before the election.  We could use more help!  Please email me (ssouder@uniteone.net) if you would like to help.  Reject human cloning, Protect human life in it’s earliest stages!

     Our annual recruitment BLITZ is happening the third weekend of this month.  If you have had someone asking you about the knights, bring them that weekend.  We still have candidates waiting patiently, our membership team needs to call these guys and we can get them in this month.

n      Sunday Nov. 5th – Donut Sunday

n      Tuesday Nov. 7th – Election Day

n      Saturday Nov. 11th – Veteran’s Day

n      Sunday Nov. 12th – Regular meeting 7pm, parish social hall

n      Thursday Nov. 16th – Fourth Degree meeting in Excelsior Springs 7pm

n      Sat.-Sun. Nov. 18th & 19th – Recruitment BLITZ after all Masses

n      Sunday Nov. 26th – St. Mary’s Food Kitchen   9am-12pm

n      Monday Nov. 27th – St. James Food Kitchen   Time???

n      Eucharistic Adoration happens every Thursday in our parish.  Spend an hour with our Lord and Savior!

In closing, remember to pray for one another and our families.  Pray that God puts his people in their place on Election Day.  Pray a rosary for the right outcome on amendment 2.  Shake a veterans hand and thank you to all our knights who have served in the military!
