OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Discerning God’s Call for the Parish Goal #5 (Parish improvement project)

Larry Stanley gave an update on the parish improvement project.  Larry was quite pleased with the presentation prepared by Alex for their meeting with the diocese.  The Bishop informed Father Joe that $650,000 of the $1.5 million for the project must be raised in pledges before the project begins.  They will have a presentation for the parish tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.  Larry said they don’t want to do a capital campaign now since we will probably have to for a new sanctuary in the near future.

2.  Northland Planning

The diocese is very interested in the St. James expansion project and how it will affect Northland Planning.  Larry said the next Northland Planning meeting will be January 22nd, and their goal is to make decisions for a plan by April.
