Council Minutes
August 08, 2005
OPENING & CLOSING PRAYER:
Bobbi
Roman
MEMBERS PRESENT: John Alvey, Joshua Barlett,
Mary George, Chuck Koesterer, Mike
Jones, Dave McDonald, Bobbi Roman, Larry Stanley, Father Joe, and Father Matt
MEMBERS ABSENT: Joe Ross, and John Talbot
The
meeting was conducted by president of the board, Chuck Koesterer. Corrections to the June minutes were: (1)
Discerning God’s call for the Parish Meetings – follow-up date was incorrectly
reported as May 20th, and is corrected to June 18th. (2) Father Matt Link’s welcoming gathering
date was June 25th and 26th rather than May. (3) Update on Director of Liturgical Music
search was corrected to: Father Joe said they have had good response to the ads
for Director of liturgical music, and are currently interviewing. There
were no additions to the August agenda.
John
Hatler of Troop 214 was present to give ideas and costs to utilize storage
spaces. He is working on this as an
Eagle Scout project. He presented handouts
and ideas on shelving to organize storage areas. The council’s experience in the past in trying to utilize the
upstairs equipment room for storage was that the stairs do not meet code, and
this area couldn’t be used for storage.
The council did approve extending the Knights area 6’ and adding shelves
and cabinets to the chair closet for additional storage.
Old Business:
1.

the Parish meetings – follow-up

2. Pictorial Directory
There has been good response to the pictorial
directory and spaces were filled so additional days were added in
September.
