Words from our Pastors to encourage and bless our community. Fr.Mike shares his thoughts on Easter Sunday and the Season of Easter …
Happy Easter! As we celebrate this great Feast of New Life, we pray that you and your families will know the Peace that can only come from the Risen Lord Jesus.
To all who are visiting our community this Easter Sunday, we welcome you and want to invite you to consider St. James as a ‘home’ for your family ̶ to come grow with us in the Goodness of God’s Love.
This is a very exciting time for us here at St. James. On April 15, we will be breaking ground for our new church. Bishop Johnston will be with us to bless the site of the new building. This is a long-time in coming for us as a community and all are encouraged to join us at the groundbreaking ceremony at 1:30pm at the site of our new church.
To those who have not made a pledge and have not ‘come on board’ yet, we would like to invite you to do so. Just let us know in the Parish Office, and we can make that happen.
This season of Easter lasts for 50 Days, so that we can celebrate the New Life that the Risen Lord brings. We welcome our young children to the altar in the celebration of First Communions, and we listen to the various Resurrection stories, where the Risen Lord Jesus appears to the disciples and others and assures them not to be afraid, but to go and be witnesses of God’s Goodness and Love in all that they do.
May we live out this Easter message by being people of Hope, Peace & Love to all we meet. And may our own faith be deepened as we live out this message each and every day.
Blessings to you and all your family.
