Rental Policy for the parish social hall for Active parishioners: (8/2010)

  • 1-25 people $50 rental for active and contributing parishioners, AND the $125
    Liability Insurance, plus $250 refundable damage deposit
  • 25- 50 people $100 rental for active and contributing parishioners, AND the $125
    Liability Insurance, plus $250 refundable damage deposit.
  • 50 to 100 people $200 rental for active and contributing parishioners, AND the
    $125 Liability Insurance, plus $250 refundable damage deposit.
  • 100 to 250 people $400 rental for active and contributing parishioners, AND the
    $125 Liability Insurance, plus $250 refundable damage deposit.

Rental Policy for parish social hall for Non Parishioners: (8/2010)
Please inquire at the parish office about a separate policy for the rental of social hall.  The prices are as follows:

  • 1-50 people $400 rental, AND the $125 Liability Insurance, plus the $250
    refundable damage deposit.
  • 50-100 people $800 rental, AND the $125 Liability Insurance, plus the $250
    refundable damage deposit.
  • 100 to 250 people $1200 rental, AND the $125 Liability Insurance, plus the $250
    refundable damage deposit.

Liability Insurance
The Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph requires that all non-Parish functions be covered by Special Events Coverage, which is acquired through an outside insurance company. The cost of this short term coverage is $125 per event to be paid by the renter in addition to normal rental fees. This coverage must be paid two weeks prior to the event.

Clean Up
Renters are expected to provide acceptable clean up following the event that would return the facility to the condition it was prior to the event; this includes the restrooms in the social hall hallway. Failure to adequately clean up the facility will result in a further charge to cover the cost of the parish custodial team.

Policy on Alcohol

  1. Alcoholic beverages shall not be served to or by persons under the age of 21.  Proof of I.D. may be necessary upon request.
  2. Non-Alcoholic beverages and food must be served if alcoholic beverages are available.
  3. All organizations must have assigned individuals monitoring the distribution of alcohol beverages.
  4. Distribution of alcohol at large scale parish events must have authorization by Pastor.
  5. Anyone who rents the social hall, must purchase general liability coverage from the diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. This liability coverage needs to be handled in the parish office.
  6. Any group serving alcohol shall be aware of this policy and shall be responsible for promoting and implementing it.
  7. Any group serving alcohol is responsible to monitor consumption and require moderation of their guests.

Guidelines:

  1. All renters are responsible for clean-up after their event; which includes taking all trash out to dumpsters.
  2. All renters must be out of the social hall by 11pm; this includes the clean-up.
  3. No alcohol is served to minors. The renter is responsible for all guests intake of alcohol.
  4. We are a NO Smoking facility and the persons renting the Hall will be expected to assure adherence to the policy by the guests.
  5. No entertainment during the Masses.
  6. All functions should be confined to the Social Hall.
