We are serving 14 students (so far) this school year at St. James School and EPIC elementary school.
Each student receives a weekly bag of kid friendly snacks and basic meal items. The food is a supplement for weekends when students do not receive school lunch.
Thanks to those already supporting this ministry. The feedback is always positive and recipients are grateful for the help we provide!
Ways you can be involved:
- Volunteer to Drive – snacks need to be delivered at the end of the school week. This happens on a rotating basis. Usually takes an 30-45 minutes on a Thursday or Friday morning. Must be able to lift snacks into your car and transport them to the schools. Contact Anne Crossett if interested:
- Volunteer to Pack Snacks – If your ministry, prayer/study group, social group, RE Class, etc. or family would like to pack snacks at a meeting or after Mass, please contact Anne Crossett: . ANYONE is WELCOME! Snack Pack Ministry will be switching to a monthly packing process beginning in November. We will pack during the first week of the month for the following 4-5 weeks. Timing will be flexible to meet group needs.
- DONATE! Snacks are needed, and so are cash and HOPE gift cards. The Snack Pack Ministry makes a regular financial donation to In As Much Ministry, who provides food for our bags via Harvesters. We also supplement the donated food with other snacks we purchase at Hy-Vee, Price Chopper, and Sam’s Club.
WE NEED: HOPE CARDS: HyVee, Price Chopper and Sam’s Club (purchase and give to the office)
